To prepare for a sudden loss of power, have these typical  supplies ready:
• Flashlights and extra batteries or wind up flashlights that do not need
• Battery powered radio and extra batteries, or wind-up, &/or solar powered radio
• Food and bottled water for each member of the family, & extra in climates with extreme heat potential
• A phone that does not need electrical power to work [The old- fashioned kind]
• Battery backups for medical equipment or backup oxygen tanks
• Extra blankets and warm clothing
• Food and water for pets

We’re fine. The power was off for five days after the storm (but many of our neighbours lost power for a full week). This is the first time power has frklieced since the storm (over two weeks ago now) but we never lose power, so it’s disconcerning.
